A Level Student Stories: Aaliyah Overington | A Level Psychology

Hoping to get ahead while she took a year off due to maternity leave, Aaliyah decided to take on her A Level Psychology course online with us and was so glad she did. Read more about her journey below. 

I started with ICS Learn after I got pregnant in my first year of sixth form and had to take a year off to have my baby.

I decided to continue with one of my A Levels (psychology) in my year off to make my return a lot easier.

ICS Learn gave me the opportunity to work at my own pace, around my commitments and my tutor always replied super quickly which made things so much easier.

I was worried that online learning wasn’t going to be my thing as I usually need physical demonstrations and teaching, but there were a lot of resources available.

I found the exam papers so helpful as they got marked quickly and gave me more of an idea as to how I was progressing. All the notes were really informative and there were quizzes that you could access answers to immediately which was also really helpful. A few of my friends had tried online learning and weren’t happy with response times etc, but thankfully I didn't have that issue.

I received my results and ended up getting a B in my final exam, which has facilitated me going to Kings College London in September which I’m obviously incredibly excited about.

I would definitely recommend ICS Learn to my friends and family if they told me they needed it. I feel like it really helped me gain the grades I needed to get, while still allowing me to work flexibly and around my free time.

I did a lot of research on ICS Learn which is why I chose it in the first place, and as I did so I came across a lot of positive reviews and stories. I’m very pleased that I listened to them and chose ICS Learn, in particular, as I doubt I would have gotten the results I did without it.
