Dan knew that to progress into senior HR roles in the future, upskilling would be essential to his success.

I’m an HR Manager at News Corp (The Sun, The Times, Talk TV) and I ultimately chose to study with ICS Learn for the flexibility to complete my studies at my own pace around my working commitments.

I chose to study the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management as I'm keen to develop my skillset in the people profession, partnering my professional experiences from my role as HR Manager with the academic theory to be the best people professional possible.

I recognise the professional advantages of being CIPD accredited and the value this will have in the longer term as I work towards my career goal of becoming a Human Resources Director.

Initially, I was concerned that I would not have the support needed from tutors to learn effectively.

Fortunately, I found the feedback from ICS Learn tutors very detailed and informative, and the webinars were a great opportunity to have any questions I had answered.

The feedback given on submissions and draft assignments helped ensure all modules achieved pass grades and higher.

My qualification has helped me directly apply theory into practice in my role and has enabled me to improve my performance in my current role.

Longer term I recognise that many “Head of” and “Director” roles require CIPD Level 7, and I feel comfortable that with the knowledge obtained through this qualification, I now understand the theoretical side of the role needed to succeed in these future roles effectively.
