Learning & Development
14 June 2022 - 2 min read
My name is Leona Mullay from the Shetland Islands Council and I am a Workforce Development Administrator within the HR team, I do the administration for all Council staff training and qualification.
It was recognised that the way we do things at the moment must change, but we weren't sure what to do differently.
It was hoped that completing my CIPD Level 5 Diploma in L&D through ICS Learn would allow new ideas and theories of working to come through to make positive changes to the organisation.
The support given was faultless and the was always readily available.
The course has given me the knowledge, and therefore confidence to recognise where another approach can be taken from the typical classroom training and make suggestions for improvement.
I have also been able to use this in developing eLearning courses and assisting with the production of new training slides etc. The benefits of which are already being seen.
The larger changes (such as implementing coaching) will take longer, but I already feel an improvement in the little changes I have been able to suggest.
The format suited me greatly and all information was readily available when I needed it. The level of support was better than I have had from other online courses and qualifications.
