CIPD Student Stories: Rohit Das | CIPD Level 5 Diploma Review

Rohit chose to study his CIPD Level 5 Diploma with us to build on his knowledge and advance his career in Learning and Development. 

I started studying my CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Development in August 2018 and it has been instrumental in upping my knowledge and confidence levels within the span of one year.

I have recently changed my job role to a Learning and Development Specialist, having previously been a senior trainer for a global IT consulting giant.

A key objective for choosing to study my course was to gain an understanding of the principles of Learning and Development and the course curriculum at Level 5 seemed just right. 

What I learned from the course played an important part in helping me understand Individual Development Plans (CPD) and understanding the nuances of social and collaborative learning at play in the workplace.

This was my first go at a CIPD qualification, and I choose ICS Learn due to the flexibility it offered, be it terms of submission of assignments, the support period, or the interest-free payment options.

My plans for the near future are to ensure that I take the new knowledge back to my role, and hopefully, continue to a CIPD Level 7 qualification. 

I would like to move into a Learning and Development Manager role and I believe that this qualification will be a key differentiator.
